Does this sound familiar?

Your body can change before you understand why.

Maybe you’re sleeping differently. Your energy isn’t what it used to be. Weight is showing up in places it never did before. Your workouts feel different. Your libido has changed. You’re forgetting things you normally wouldn’t. Your cycle is changing. Or you simply don’t feel quite like yourself.

  • Low energy & fatigue
  • Brain fog
  • Poor sleep
  • Weight changes
  • Hot flashes
  • Night sweats
  • Low libido
  • Mood changes
  • Menstrual cycle changes
  • Reduced strength
  • Poor recovery
  • Changes in body composition

These symptoms can have many potential causes. Hormonal changes associated with perimenopause and menopause may be one part of the picture. That’s why Action TRT starts with evaluation — not assumptions.

Understanding perimenopause

You don’t have to wait until menopause to notice a change.

Perimenopause is the transition leading up to menopause. Hormonal patterns can begin changing during this period, and symptoms may occur even while a woman is still having menstrual cycles.

For some women the changes are subtle. For others, they can meaningfully affect sleep, energy, mood, cognition, sexual health, menstrual cycles, body composition and overall quality of life.

You do not need to diagnose yourself before coming to Action TRT.

If something has changed, the first step is simply understanding the bigger picture.

Start with data

We don’t start with HRT.We start with understanding you.

Symptoms tell us part of the story. Your health history tells us more. Comprehensive laboratory testing gives the clinical team objective information that can help build a more complete picture.

This is why Action TRT requires baseline bloodwork before proceeding with a clinical treatment plan. Relevant hormonal and metabolic markers are evaluated based on your individual evaluation.

Your labs matter. But they only make sense in the context of you.

The Action Approach

No cookie-cutter hormone plans.

  1. 01

    Listen

Understand what you're experiencing, your health history, lifestyle, concerns and goals.

  2. 02

    Measure

Use comprehensive laboratory testing to gather objective information.

  3. 03

    Understand

Evaluate your results in the context of your symptoms, history and goals.

  4. 04

    Personalize

If treatment is appropriate, develop recommendations around the individual rather than defaulting to a universal protocol.

  5. 05

    Monitor

Continue following symptoms, response and relevant biomarkers over time.

  6. 06

    Refine

Adjust care as your body, health and goals change.

Your treatment shouldn’t be identical to the woman sitting next to you.

There is no standard Action TRT women’s HRT protocol. That’s intentional.

Tyler Stanley in conversation with a patient at the Action TRT clinic

The expertise behind Action TRT

Hormonal health deserves deeper thinking.

Tyler Stanley, DMSc, PhD, founded Action TRT around the belief that hormone care shouldn’t be reduced to chasing a single number or placing every patient into the same protocol.

His advanced work in hormone and androgen health helped shape a broader approach to care — one that considers symptoms, laboratory data, metabolic health, sexual health, body composition, lifestyle and patient goals together. The goal is to understand the person before determining what treatment, if any, is appropriate.

“The lab result matters. But it only becomes meaningful when you understand the person behind it.”

Ladies — if you are trying to manage your peri-menopausal or menopausal symptoms with your OBGYN, do yourself a favor and make a call to Dr Stanley instead. I gave up on the lack of effort or concern from my OBGYN who would look at my lab results and not do a thing about my aggravating peri-menopausal symptoms. Dr Stanley listened and we created a plan together. He continues to check in on me frequently to make sure all is going well.

I was having brain fogs, terrible around the clock night sweats and all the symptoms related to lack of hormones. I'm an 80 year old woman and was in great distress. Tyler, with his blood tests and knowledge, prescribed several prescriptions and I started feeling better shortly.

Personalized hormone care

HRT isn’t one treatment.

Hormone therapy can mean different things for different women. Depending on symptoms, health history, laboratory evaluation, individual risk factors and clinical needs, different hormonal approaches may be considered when appropriate.

  • Estrogen
  • Progesterone
  • Testosterone
  • Perimenopause hormone therapy
  • Menopause hormone therapy

Not everyone who is evaluated will be a candidate for hormone therapy, and no single approach is right for every woman.

There is no standard Action TRT women’s HRT protocol. The treatment follows the evaluation.

More than hormones

Hormones don’t exist in isolation.

A woman’s health cannot be reduced to estrogen, progesterone or testosterone alone. The Action TRT approach considers the broader context around the patient so treatment decisions can be made more thoughtfully.

  • Hormonal health
  • Metabolic health
  • Weight & body composition
  • Energy
  • Sleep
  • Sexual health
  • Strength & recovery
  • Cognitive function
  • Healthy aging

Questions women ask us

Answers before you decide anything.

General information only, not medical advice. Your own evaluation is the only way to understand what applies to you.

What is perimenopause?

Perimenopause is the transition leading up to menopause. Hormonal patterns can begin shifting during this time, and symptoms may occur before menstrual cycles stop entirely.

How do I know if I may be experiencing perimenopause?

You don't have to know. Many women notice changes in sleep, energy, mood, focus, cycles or body composition without a clear explanation. Those changes can have many potential causes, which is why evaluation comes before any conclusion.

Can perimenopause symptoms begin while I'm still having periods?

Yes. Symptoms may occur while menstrual cycles are still happening, and cycles themselves may become less predictable during this period.

What symptoms can occur during perimenopause?

Commonly reported changes include fatigue, poor sleep, brain fog, hot flashes, night sweats, mood changes, lower libido, cycle changes and changes in weight or body composition. These symptoms can also be associated with other causes.

Does everyone experiencing perimenopause need HRT?

No. Hormone therapy is only considered when it is clinically appropriate following an individual evaluation. Not everyone who is evaluated will be a candidate.

Why does Action TRT require bloodwork?

Symptoms and history tell part of the story. Comprehensive laboratory testing gives the clinical team objective information to evaluate alongside what you're experiencing, so recommendations aren't based on assumptions.

What happens during my initial consultation?

The consultation is a conversation. You'll describe what you've been experiencing, ask questions and learn how the Action TRT evaluation process works. There is no cost and no obligation to proceed.

What happens after my lab results are available?

The clinical team reviews your results in the context of your symptoms, health history, lifestyle and goals. If treatment is appropriate, individualized recommendations can be developed and discussed with you.

Is every woman's hormone treatment the same?

No. There is no standard Action TRT women's HRT protocol. Recommendations follow the individual evaluation rather than a universal template.

How often will my labs be monitored?

Monitoring is part of ongoing care rather than a one-time event. The frequency depends on your plan, your response and clinical judgment.

Can hormonal changes affect libido?

Changes in libido and sexual health can be associated with hormonal changes, though other factors may also contribute. This is one of the areas considered during evaluation.

Can hormonal changes affect sleep?

Sleep disruption is commonly reported during perimenopause and menopause. Sleep can also be affected by many other potential contributing factors, which is why it's evaluated in context.

Can hormonal changes affect body composition?

Changes in weight distribution, muscle and body composition are commonly reported during this stage of life. Hormonal changes may be one part of the picture alongside metabolic health, activity, nutrition and other factors.

Where is Action TRT located?

Action TRT is located at 3000 W MacArthur Blvd, Ste 600, Santa Ana, CA 92704, with free parking on site.

Do you see women from throughout Orange County?

Yes. Patients come to the Santa Ana clinic from Irvine, Tustin, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, Mission Viejo, Yorba Linda and surrounding Orange County communities.

Do I need to know whether I need HRT before scheduling?

No. You do not need to diagnose yourself or decide on a treatment before speaking with Action TRT. The purpose of the evaluation process is to better understand what you're experiencing, gather appropriate information and determine what options may make sense for you.
